Motor Trade Ready is a trading name of Sector Ready Technologies Ltd (company number 17373836), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ, registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through Motor Trade Ready. Contact us at contact@motortradeready.co.uk.
We use your email address to create your secure account, save your compliance roadmap and send service reminders for dates you choose. Marketing communications are only sent if you have opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Your business and assessment information is private to your account and is not shared with third parties except where you deliberately request provider assistance.
Your Garage Profile stores business and site details, workshop activities, responsible people, equipment records and current service providers. We use this information to personalise your compliance roadmap, guidance, document templates and dashboard summaries. Only authorised users associated with your account can view or edit it, and it is never made public or shared with other garages. You can review, correct or remove this information at any time from the Garage Profile page or by contacting us directly.
Where you tell us how a compliance requirement is currently handled — for example whether you use an external provider, how satisfied you are, or when a service is due for renewal — we record this to support your own garage's compliance and supplier records, and so we can show you a clear picture of your arrangements over time.
We may use anonymised or aggregated versions of this information (for example, how many garages in an area use an external provider for a given service) to understand demand and improve our guidance. This aggregated use never identifies your business or contacts.
Your provider and contact details are only shared with a third-party provider where you have specifically asked us to help find one and have separately ticked the introduction-permission checkbox for that request. No introduction or data sharing happens automatically, and we keep a record of exactly what you agreed to, when, and whether it was later withdrawn.
You can correct or remove any provider or contact details you have added at any time from the relevant requirement, or by contacting us directly. We do not use stored provider-contact details for unrelated marketing.
Recording what you currently pay, or expect to pay, for a service provider is always optional. Where you choose to provide this, we may use it to help your garage maintain its own supplier records, to understand typical costs for different services, to develop member offers, to identify potential savings opportunities, and to produce anonymised or aggregated market insights.
We never expose one garage's identifiable pricing information to another garage, and we will not tell you that your arrangement is expensive unless a reliable comparison exists that accounts for relevant factors such as service scope, equipment quantity, region and charging basis. We do not publish price benchmarks until there is enough comparable data to avoid misleading conclusions.
Choosing to be alerted to potentially better-value options does not itself authorise us to share your details with any provider — a separate introduction permission is always required before that happens. You can edit or remove any cost information from the Garage Profile page at any time.
When you submit a Specialist Help request, we collect the compliance area, a description of what help you need, your current situation, urgency, preferred contact method and the contact details you confirm for that request. Where the request is opened from a specific Compliance Roadmap requirement, we also record a snapshot of that requirement's status.
Every request is initially reviewed by Motor Trade Ready. We do not share your details with any specialist or provider automatically. If we identify a suitable provider, we will show you exactly what information we propose to share and ask you to confirm using an unticked checkbox before anything is shared. You can decline this introduction, and no information is shared if you do.
You can withdraw your approval at any time before we confirm that details have actually been shared, by contacting us directly. Once you confirm an introduction, we keep a record of the named provider, the exact information authorised, the exact wording you were shown, and the date and time you confirmed it. This confirmation only ever applies to the named provider and request it relates to — it is never treated as consent for general marketing, unrelated partner offers, future provider introductions, or newsletters.
Motor Trade Ready may receive a referral fee if you choose to use a provider we introduce. This is disclosed to you before you confirm any introduction and never increases your obligation to proceed — you remain free to use any provider of your choice.
We retain Specialist Help request and introduction-approval records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes. You can ask us to review, correct or delete this information at any time by contacting us directly.
When you submit a contact or support enquiry, we collect your name, business name, email address, telephone number (if provided), enquiry type, subject and message, together with the date and time of your submission. If you are signed in, or submit the form from the dashboard, we may also record your user id and the Organisation and site you had selected at the time, so we can provide account support and maintain a history of communications.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, provide account support, handle membership and Multi-Site requests, and keep a record of communications. We do not add marketing consent through the general enquiry form; any separate marketing consent is always optional and is not a condition of submitting an enquiry.
